How to Store Newborn Baby Clothes

Newborn babies will grow very fast during the early months, and they would possibly seem to double in size, that's why a load of newborn baby clothes can pile up easily. In this case, I round up 3 practical tips to help you to store the clothes.

1.Clean the clothes first

Wash your baby outfits before storing them. Use the mild detergent to avoid color fading and pay attention to the stained area and make sure each piece is completely clean and dry before packing them away.

2. Sort by size and types accordingly. 

Separate your baby clothes by sizes according to the label. Personally, I will divide these clothes into 4 categories—0-3 months, 3-6 months, 6-12 months and 12-18 months. After finishing it, packing up each sorted pile into 5 categories—toddler baby dresses, baby tops, baby pants, baby pajamas, and accessories.

Remember to remove all the items that are suitable for special occasions, such as Halloween & Christmas costumes, swimwear, shoes or other holiday outfits, for example. And keep them in the specific box.

3.Tips for Storage

After finishing all the steps, put all the clothes into the plastic tubs or plastic box that can provide protection from moisture. Add the sachet scent bag to the box for an extra delicate scent, if possible. Then, put them into a cool, dry and ventilate place for storage. Keep your baby clothes away from some areas, such as basements, and attics.
